EpiScreen™ Immunogenicity TestingEpiScreen™ is a highly accurate and highly sensitive human T cell assay technology platform used to the determine immunogenicity of biologics or allergenicity in NCEs. EpiScreen™ applications include: T cell epitope mapping - T cell epitopes are identified using individual donor Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs) selected from an extensive library of fully characterised HLA-typed human blood samples to test overlapping peptides derived from protein sequences. Immunogenicity of Whole Proteins - directly tests whole biologics (antibodies, proteins or peptides) for stimulation of helper T cell responses using characterised human blood samples. This assay format has been used to assess the adjuvant effect of formulations/manufacturing batches of biologics. Late Onset Allergic Reactions - tests the capacity of NCEs to stimulate ex vivo human T cell responses and can provide relative immunotoxicity data from a panel of NCEs. EpiScreen™ is performed by the team who has pioneered immunogenicity testing T cell assay technologies. This cell based method has been extensively validated and provides reliable, reproducible results that support effective pipeline management and drug development.
