Cambridge UK, 27 October 2008 - Antitope Ltd. ("Antitope") today announced a research agreement with Boehringer Ingelheim ("Boehringer Ingelheim") for the modification of monoclonal antibodies.
Under the Agreement, Antitope will apply its proprietary Composite Human AntibodyTM technology for the humanization of Boehringer Ingelheim's therapeutic antibodies.
"We are delighted to be working with Boehringer Ingelheim to produce humanized antibodies with low immunogenic potential," said Dr Matthew Baker, Chief Scientific Officer and co-founder of Antitope Limited. "This partnership utilises Antitope's expertise in creating humanised antibodies devoid of T cell epitopes to complement Boehringer Ingelheim's innovation in developing novel therapeutics based on monoclonal antibodies."
