Meet Antitope at BioJapan 2008, Pacifico Yokohama, Japan 15th-17th October

Antitope will be participating in the Business Partnering Forum at the BioJapan meeting in Yokohama and welcome the opportunity to discuss potential collaborations with companies that are interested in assessing and/or removing immunogenicity from protein therapeutics. In addition, Dr. Frank Carr (Director for Biologics Research) will give a presentation on ‘Preclinical Testing, Removal and Avoidance of Immunogenicity in Biologics" in seminar session A8 - Antibody Therapeutics (room 501) on 17th October 2008.

Dr Carr's presentation will discuss data from clinical studies showing one of the major issues with therapeutic antibodies is the development of an anti-therapeutic antibody response within patients. The presentation will illustrate that removal of T cell epitopes from the therapeutic antibody significantly reduces the risk of anti-therapeutic antibodies occurring.
