Antitope announces initiation of anti-Clever-1 antibody humanization in collaboration with Faron
Antitope Ltd. ("Antitope") today announced a research agreement with Faron Pharmaceuticals Ltd. ("Faron") for the generation of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies against Clever-1 receptor. Under the Agreement, Antitope will apply its proprietary Composite Human Antibody™ technology for the generation of humanized anti-Clever-1 antibodies. Humanization is based on the already in vivo tested murine antibodies that can prevent growth of primary tumours and their metastasis by reducing stealth properties of cancer cells. Faron believes that anti-Clever-1 treatment is one step forward to more individualized cancer treatment as blocking Clever-1 function stimulates host immune defence against tumour cells.

Clever-1 is Faron’s proprietary receptor target (e.g. EP patent 1463760) and the Clever-1 function-blocking antibodies part of Faron’s expanding product pipeline.
